Palm Beach Marble, which serves as both a flooring contractor and a stone fabricator in South Florida, has grown tremendously since opening in 2003. The company’s 7,500-square-foot building in Riviera Beach, FL, houses a fabrication shop and a showroom.
The company work includes countertops, vanity tops, tabletops, stairs, walls, floors and ceilings, etc. Principle markets include builders and designers, and production is 70% flooring and 30% fabrication work. Additionally, the company purchases its slabs both locally and overseas. “We cater to high-end homes in South Florida,” said the owner. “All of our business is the result of word of mouth from contractors, designers and decorators, and we like to think that it is due to our work ethics and pursuit of excellence.”
Impeccable Design
The company employs a staff of 22, who were hired through advertising and referrals. “All employees in our fabrication facilities have numerous years of experience, and most are crossed trained,” said Castilla, adding that staff members are also put through a safety program after being hired. According to the owner, the biggest challenge is finding reliable employees, but offering overtime and benefits help keep good workers around.
“The secret to our success and rapid growth is listening to our customers and giving them a quality end product in a minimum amount of time,” the company stated. “Our talented staff assists in planning every detail from start to finish. We understand the importance of setting up jobs effectively. We field measure every job prior to executing a contract to ensure correct measurements in the scope of work, labor and material quantities. We work with the customer, assist in selections and supply samples.”
